2024-2025 Faculty Senate
Purpose
The purpose of the Faculty Senate is to:
- Facilitate communication among faculty.
- Serve as the executive-representative body of SCC faculty in dealings with the college administration, district administration, and governing board.
- To select representatives to serve on administrative councils and on coordinating committees of the faculties of the colleges of the district, and
- To participate in the formation and implementation of policies for the local college and district.

Senate Representatives
The number of RFP faculty in a division determines the number of senators representing that division; (0-10 = 1, 11-20 = 2, 21-30= 3, 30+ = 4). Three Senators will be elected at-large by a majority vote of the faculty of the college. Three additional at-large positions will be allocated, one to the past president, one to the current president, and one to the president-elect.
